Booking & General

Where are you located and do you travel?
AIMwithLove Photography is based in West Liberty, Ohio, but we are willing to travel up to 60 miles from our location for a session! If you have a special location in mind, we can absolutely chat about travel options. Additional charges will apply for travel.
How do I book a session?
Booking is simple— you can purchase a session directly from the website, fill out a booking form, or just reach out through the contact form or email and someone will contact you to chat about the type of session you’d like, find the perfect date, and secure your spot with a signed agreement and payment.
How far in advance should I schedule my photoshoot?
This depends on the type of session. For newborn sessions, We recommend booking while you’re still pregnant to hold space around your due date. Family and milestone sessions usually book a few weeks to months ahead, especially during busy seasons. If you have a specific date in mind we can look to see if there is availability on our end.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes, a non-refundable retainer is required to hold your date. The remaining balance is due by the day of your session. Full payment at time of booking is also accepted.

Session Details

How long does a typical session last?
It depends on the session type—newborns usually take a little longer (2–3 hours with plenty of breaks). Family and milestone sessions are usually around 45–60 minutes.
What should we wear for our photoshoot?
Don’t stress about this—We can send you a style guide with tips on colors, textures, and outfit ideas that photograph beautifully. We always say to pick outfit(s) that make you feel comfortable and radiant.
Do you provide props or should we bring our own?
For newborns and milestone sessions, We have simple, timeless props and wraps available. If you have something sentimental (like a blanket from grandma or a favorite toy), please bring it—it makes the photos even more special.
Can siblings or extended family be included?
Yes, absolutely! We love capturing sibling snuggles or grandparents with their little ones. Just let us know in advance so we can plan accordingly. We will try to capture as many moments within the allotted time of the booked session. There is an option for an "Add-On", for an addtional fee, for sessions needing addtional time .
What if my child doesn’t cooperate?
That’s completely okay! Children are full of personality, and we never expect them to sit perfectly still. We keep things light, playful, and relaxed— and some of the best photos come from those candid in-between moments.

Newborn Sessions

When is the best time to photograph a newborn?
The ideal window is within the first 7–14 days after birth, when babies are extra sleepy and snuggly. But beautiful images can be captured at any age, so don’t worry if that window has passed.
Do you come to our home or is the session in a studio?
We offer both options depending on what feels best for your family. At-home sessions are cozy and relaxed, while studio sessions give us access to controlled lighting and props.
What if my baby is fussy or needs breaks?
No problem at all—babies run the show! We’ll take as many breaks as needed for feeding, changing, or comforting. Sessions are designed to flow at your baby’s pace.

After the Session

How long will it take to receive our photos?
Turnaround time for final gallery is usually 2–3 weeks, but we do our best to get them to you sooner! We will send you final images through a beautiful online gallery where you can view, download, and share your images.
How many images are included?
Each package comes with a set number of final edited images. You will receive an initial "soft proof" of the images and will choose your final images to be edited based on the session package. You’ll also have the option to include additional images for purchasing.
Will I receive digital files, prints, or both?
Every session includes high-resolution digital files. Prints, albums, and wall art are available to be purchased through a third party printing service. Your online gallery makes it easy to download your digital copies and purchase any physical items you wish.
Do you edit all the photos?
No— We first carefully select the best photos to send to you as a "soft proof". You will then select which images you want as included in your session package and if there are additional images you would like to purchase. The images selected through the "soft proofing" process will be fully edited and delivered in your final gallery.
Do you retouch (skin smoothing, blemishes, etc.)?
Not necessarily. We review for gentle retouching to remove temporary blemishes, scratches, or distractions while keeping everyone looking natural and true to themselves. Major retouching must be discussed at time of session and may incur additional cost.

Policies

What happens if it rains or we need to reschedule?
Life happens! If the weather doesn’t cooperate or someone gets sick, we’ll simply reschedule to the next available date.
What if I need to cancel?
The retainer is non-refundable, but we will always do our best to work with you on rescheduling if something unexpected comes up. If session was paid in full at time of booking we will work with you on rescheduling or discuss a refund if a reschedule is not an option.
